I find it amusing when talking to friends about cross stitching and some say, "I like to cross stitch, but it takes so long to finish a project." These people have never bugged their phones. That was my 30-minute cross-stitch project last weekend.
How many times have you given up on your cross stitch after a few hours because of eyestrain? If you're like me, your eyes go bleary after a few hours when working in bad lighting. With good lighting, on the other hand, I can work through the entire weekend. Our office received a Microsun Lamp, which uses three bulbs to produce a natural glow that can be adjusted depending on whether you are stitching, reading or watching television. The center Microsun bulb uses 68 watts, and the auxiliary bulbs are 25 watts or less. With two switches, the lamp can be adjusted to provide a cool ambience for the room or to produce focused lighting for close reading or stitching. Microsun offers both table and floor lamps with a variety of stands and shades. Find out more at www.microsunlamps.com/jcs5.
