It's been a busy summer already here at Just CrossStitch. We work several months ahead when publishing a magazine, so while the temps outside are approaching 90 degrees, we're planning Christmas projects and looking towards Valentine's Day. And so far this summer, we have put the finishing touches on two pattern books and our annual Halloween issue. The Halloween issue and one pattern book have recently been released, so I thought I would take this newsletter as an opportunity to give y'all a sneak peek of both of these. We'll take a brief break from covering our specialty stitches, but I'll answer the common question of how to convert a project from linen to Aida.

A quality thimble is great for protecting your sensitive fingertips but can be pricey and become uncomfortably stuffy during long bouts of stitching. Luckily, Roxanne International has introduced their new Roxette line. These thimbles are ergonomically designed to enhance the finger's natural strength and dexterity, putting less stress on finger joints, while the unique open-back feature ventilates for a cool, comfortable stitching experience. Roxette thimbles are available in sizes XS through XL, each with its own distinctive metallic hue. Roxette thimbles also come with a plastic storage tube and fitting instructions that ensure you end up with the perfect size. For more information visit www.colonialneedle.com.
